Patriotism: UBA Security Guard Returns N3m He Found On The Ground

Nigeria is a great nation with good and Patriotic people. Nigeria is currently facing economy recession and unemployment. Majority of people can not afford three square meal a day. Yet,  we could still see a patriotic citizen. The devastating situation never affect the Patriotism of some Nigerians. In that spirit of Patriotism, a United Bank Security Guard returned #3m he found on the ground.

Read what Tony Elumelu shared on social media below….. ‘Last month, Mohammed Ibrahim Ogbanago, a security guard at the at ubagroup branch in Oba Akran, found $10,000 outside on the ground at his branch. In an unparalleled display of integrity, he decided to return the money.

When I heard about this story, I knew I had to meet the man who despite facing rising petrol & transportation prices and “tomato ebola” returned such a huge sum of money without recourse to himself. It was a pleasant surprise to hear him tell this story and about how he came to be in the board room with us. Even more surprising was hearing him speak about his passion for governance and integrity in leadership.

Mohammed Ibrahim Ogbanago is an exemplary ambassador of the UBA spirit and it was fulfilling to meet and reward him for his conduct. The at UBAGroup management is proud to have this caliber of staff at all levels. Congratulations to Mohammed and keep up the good work’.

Kogi election: Bello denies handing over campaign structure to Audu

An APC gubernatorial Aspirant in Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, says he did not collapse his campaign structure into that of Prince Abubakar Audu, the candidate of the party in the forthcoming election.
He described as wrong, the claim contained in some newspapers that he has agreed to work with Audu to achieve victory in the election.
In a statement issued Monday, Bello said he was yet to hold discussions with anybody.
“My campaign structure is intact and I have not taken any decision yet. I will wait for my party and supporters on our next move,” the statement said.
Bello distanced himself from a press release purportedly signed by one Mouktar Atimah in respect of the said deal.
It would be recalled that Yahaya Bello, alongside 66 contenders, were defeated by Audu in the recently concluded governorship primary election in Kogi State.

Air Attack

Warplanes from Libya’s UN-recognised government have attacked Tripoli’s only functioning commercial airport, temporarily stopping negotiators from travelling to Morocco for peace talks, officials have said. The attack on Maitiga airport on Thursday caused no major damage but delayed a Tripoli-based delegation from attending the Rabat-based talks. Mohamed El Hejazi, a spokesman of forces allied to the UN-backed Tobruk-based government claimed responsibility for the attack. “The strike is part of a war against terrorism that will continue until Libya has been freed of terrorism,” he said. Libya’s legislators are split between the UN-recognised government in Tobruk and the General National Congress, a rival legally-installed government in Tripoli.
